Lead to Cyber Resilience

As part of Cyber Scotland Week, we've been giving public workshops on online safety across Scotland. In North Lanarkshire, Perth and Aberdeenshire, we've been discussing how to create strong passwords, how to identify online scams and what to do in the event of a cyber attack. Missed our events? No problem, check out our blogs covering the same information.

Volunteers needed for Fife Young Carers Befriending Project

Our new Befriending Service enables young people with a caring role at home in Fife to experience the same opportunities and activities as their peers. Volunteers can support this by sharing their time and patience with a young carer. Volunteers can expect training and out of pocket expenses. For further information on this exciting and fulfilling opportunity please contact:
Emma Pauley, Fife Befriending Coordinator by phone 07775844885 or email epauley@lead.org.uk.

Learners enjoy work experience at Speysound Radio

In partnership with Speysound Radio - 107.1fm and streaming worldwide at speysound.com, Lead Scotland were presented with a fabulous opportunity to work alongside the community radio station and three wonderful young men with varied addition support needs.

They all wished to increase their knowledge of digital skills, expressed an interest in the creative arts, wanted to raise their confidence and self esteem so that they could apply for college or volunteer in their community.

All three worked well and are in the process of receiving their SQA qualification certificates. One client has applied for and been accepted in college. Another is volunteering in a variety of roles locally and the third is in the process of applying for college. All stated that their confidence and training received from LEAD has helped them in this journey.
