Shoes For School
Thanks to many of you we were able to provide school shoes for the kids that attend the Light For The Future Bible and English classes in the Basurero. It was such a joy to hand them out and share the personal messages you wrote to them.

Both Tim and Rachel teach at the Cristian Academy of Guatemala. Rachel volunteers with us in the Light For The Future Ministry and They both stay very busy keeping up with their fun and active family.

The 1st phase of the Aquaponics system is up and running
The indoor version is complete with fish tank below. The seeds have sprouted. The seedlings have been transferred into the grow bed above and the pump is circulating the water.
So far, so good!

Moving ahead to Phase 2 of Aquaponics
The outdoor prototype
In order to set up the outdoor system we needed to add a concrete surface to our patio space. It was very interesting to see how it gets done the Guatemalan way!

Finally, We are very excited to see how God is expanding our territory into the city of Peronia.
Starting March 3rd, we will begin teaching English in the Casa de los Suenos program. Pastor Donovan invited us in the fall of 2019, hoping to use English as an outreach and give opportunities to young people in the community.
We have been working hard to get ready for the 20 young people who have enrolled. We were able to participate in an on-line class offered free to us by Reach Global to prepare our hearts and heads to do what God is asking of us. We have also been helping on Saturday mornings with the little ones in the Sonrisas program who come to have breakfast, worship and a Bible Lesson.

We have so very much to be thankful for and we count you, our financial and prayer partners at the top of the list.
Please pray
- For the kids living in the Basurero as they dig deeper into their school year. That they will have the resources and determination to do well in school and that they will be drawn closer to God through the Light For The Future Bible & English classes.
- For us as we begin this new program in Peronia. That the light of Jesus will shine through us and give the students hope for a better future, especially for the young population that can so easily be drawn into the gangs.
- That the plants would grow and be fruitful and we would be able to move deeper into phase 2 of the aquaponics program.
- Finally, for our finances. We really feel a burden to do more with our monthly income than just meet our own needs. There are so many around us that need so much more. We are currently praying about finding a cheaper living situation because we want to devote more of our income to ministry opportunities. Please pray that we follow God's will in this area of our life.

We had a great time at the Habitat Church Retreat. Thank You Pastor Donovan, wife Lorena and son Evan for making us feel like part of your family. We feel God moving and stretching us into the territory of Peronia.
