"Buy Native" Procurement Matchmaking at RES 2020

Reservation Economic Summit 2020 will feature a "Buy Native" Procurement Matchmaking Expo for all businesses and entrepreneurs registered to attend RES. This highly customized matchmaking program is unique to RES, and gives small businesses the opportunity to showcase their goods/services to local, state, and federal government purchasing officials, as well as buyers from Fortune 500 corporations.

RES Will Spotlight Future Entrepreneurs


RES 2020 will feature a 'Native Youth Business Plan Competition,' hosted in conjunction with First Nations Development Institute. Taking place on Tuesday, March 3, the 9 semifinalists made up of high school and college teams will present their final business plan in front of a panel of judges and investors, with the opportunity to win a total of $30,000. The National Center, with the support of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will be hosting a Native Edge Institute in Spokane, Washington, on April 8 and April 9. Tara Koleski Joins the Team

Tara Koleski was recently hired as a Program Manager at The National Center, where she will implement native business development initiatives nationwide. A former professional soccerer play in Germany, in recent years Tara has worked in coaching and youth mentorship. Tara is joining The National Center at our headquarters in Mesa, Arizona. Make sure to say hello and congratulations when you see her at RES!

In addition to informative sessions and networking opportunities, RES 2020 has an impressive lineup of keynote speakers. These include SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza; Henry Childs II, National Director of the U.S. Minority Business Development Agency; Martin Sensmeier, Actor and Producer; Jeannie Hovland, Commissioner of the Administration for Native Americans at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Motivational speaker James Anderson, and many more!

NEI at RES

RES 2020 attendees will have the chance to attend a Native Edge Institute, running concurrently with RES on Monday, March 2. This exclusive NEI will feature sessions on contracting and supplier diversity, accessing capital, federal contracting and procurement, business accounting essentials, and a unique session titled 'How to Sell & Succeed on Alibaba.com.' NEIs are for both established and aspiring business owners, and all at RES are encouraged to attend!
