New details available about widening state route 81

Georgia DOT approved the concept report for phase I of the highway 81 widening providing new details about the project.

An open house displaying the concept layout and providing residents an opportunity to comment about the project is expected in April.

Board splits over Convention Center

The board of commissioners split 3-2 in approving the county's $415 million dollar capital project list. At the center of the split was the proposed convention center in Stockbridge. Learn More

The board approved the mid-year budget adjustment, increasing the county DOT budget in the process. Read More

SPLOST IV

The SPLOST IV program, approved by voters in 2013, ends collections next month. Several projects are either under construction or in pre-construction stages. Keep Reading

New Four-Way Stop

Update: Henry County DOT will install a new four-way stop at Bill Gardner Parkway and Lester Mill Road, weather permitting, on Thursday, February 27. The installation comes after a continued trend of traffic accidents at the intersection. Keep Reading
