Addiction Rounds: From Data to Practice  Systems-Level Change and Community Engagement in Washington Heights

Wednesday, March 4th | 12:00pm–1:00pm | VEC 1402/1403
Presenters: NYC DOH Janell Tyron, MPH and Diang Severino
NYC Department of Health Rapid Assessment and Response (RAR) team (part of Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Use Prevention, Care, and Treatment) has been implementing a community needs assessment examining public drug use and syringe litter by talking with people who use drugs and the providers that care for them in Washington Heights. This assessment and community intervention strategy, successfully implemented once before in the South Bronx, is being replicated in Washington Heights. Please join us as this team shares their preliminary findings from our neighborhood as well as practical resources and opportunities to support this work. Lunch will be provided!

Sounds are created by a wide range of instruments including Himalayan singing bowls, ocean drum, shruti box, chimes and overtone singing. Facilitated by music therapist Miss Hall, MA, LCAT, MT-BC. All are welcome, see Sound Bath flyer for more details.
