2020 BEST PTO Family Baseball Outing
This year we will be going to see the Lowell Spinners instead of the Boston Red Sox. The ticket prices are more budget-friendly, and the game is perfect for students at both Davis and Lane schools.
The Lowell Spinners will take on the Norwalk Sea Unicorns (formerly the Connecticut Tigers) at LaLecheur Stadium. Our seats are in reserved sections, and each ticket includes a meal voucher. Before the game the children will be invited to parade around the field as part of the pre-game festivities. As always, we'll have transportation available from Bedford to and from the game.

Presentation from the Autism Insurance Resource Center. Co-sponsored by Bierman ABA Center and Bedford SEPAC. How to find out if your child has coverage for ABA or other therapies, the effect of insurance coverage on IEPs, and how the Autism Insurance Resource Center helps families. Discussion will also include information for MassHealth for people with disabilities, and accessing behavioral treatments in general (that don’t require an autism diagnosis). Light refreshments. Basic Rights: Understanding the IEP

Provides an understanding of the Individual Educational Plan (IEP): why it is important, how it is developed, what information belongs in each section, what types of services are included, measurable goals, what to do when you receive a proposed IEP, and procedural due process rights for resolving disputes.

Volunteer Opportunities
3rd or 4th Grade Parents to Co-Chair 5th Grade Talent Show
Current co-chairs are looking for new parents to work with them this year and take it over next year. Responsibilities include organizing backstage parent volunteers for evening performance and senior luncheon at daytime performance.
Lane Teacher Appreciation Week Committee Chair
Work together with Davis co-chair and committee to plan meals, raffles and other treats for teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
Color Run Committee Members
Help plan our spring fundraiser Color run scheduled for May 30th.
Board Members
We are looking for a new President, Treasurer, VP of Davis, and VP of Lane for next year.

We invite you to make a donation this school year to the BEST Appreciation Fund - you donate, and we fund activities all year! You can give to the Appreciation Fund at any time, but we hope you will consider doing it early so we can confidently plan activities for the year.
Donations to the Appreciation Fund will be appropriated throughout the year to fund programs that show appreciation to the teachers and staff at our schools. These include: funds for teachers supplies, holiday and end of year gifts for school support staff, hospitality and appreciation.

Want to Volunteer at School This Year?
You will need to complete a NEW CORI Form for the 2019-20 year. All previous CORI's expired on July 1st. Download, print, and submit your CORI to the Davis or Lane main office.
Remember, parents are not allowed to volunteer without a CORI on file!
