Hi, <<First Name>>.
Solo Show & Artist Talk

|
I currently have a solo show in the Project Space at galleryFRITZ, a contemporary fine art gallery here in Santa Fe. You can read more about it on my art website. I will be giving an artist talk TODAY, from 2-3 pm. My photography is also listed on Artsy; work sold in the first week!

If you want to learn more about this project, I have a unique website, I AM: For the Love of Nature. It's themes of aging, the female gaze, MeToo, climate change, and the healing power of nature, are all finding appreciative audiences. I am continuing to look for exhibition opportunities. We've created a mini nature experience at galleryFRITZ and I'm also showing a video meditation that includes my abstract nature photography.
Interview with Melanie McWhorter
Photo consultant, Melanie McWhorter, interviewed me about the project on her website.
Brandon Thibodeaux Workshop
I also wanted to share this upcoming program at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops:
Bringing Ideas to Life: Crafting Personal Projects with Brandon Thibodeaux
I took Brandon's class in late 2018 and it helped me build confidence and understand my images. Brandon is a remarkably generous and insightful teacher; I hope you'll keep this in mind if you know of other photographers wanting to pull a body of work together into a cohesive statement.
My Book is Available
Lastly, the book I made for this project is available on my website and also at galleryFRITZ.

Not Afraid of Storms
Maybe it’s becuse I’ve been
through so many
and am still here.
It’s not like I’m not afraid of other things.
I am.
Or rather, mini me is,
going on 65 years now.
But this sky, when the clouds are dark
and the light streams down,
reminds me
the rain and the thunder
are merely passers by.
The light is my forever shelter.
