Hello, GEO!
We've got a lot to cover! But we've tried to keep it short. Let's get into it.
- ALL-MEMBERSHIP-MEETING: Tomorrow, that's February 18th, from 11am to 1pm in the Harbor Point Lounge of Campus Center. This is our first All-Membership-Meeting of the semester, and it is IMPORTANT. Show up for as little or as much time as you can spare! We're launching our Bargaining Platform--the document we use to ratify the approach we take going into bargaining. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Show up! We'll bring the pizza: you bring the engagement! (And if you haaven't done it already... Take the bargaining survey by clicking here!)
- MEMBERSHIP OUTREACH: As part of bargaining, we're going to be reaching out to the entire unit--all 700 of you. If you, or one of your friends, get an email from us--talk to us! We want to hear what you have to say about the platform!
- ELECTIONS: If you're interested in joining the organizing committee, GOOD NEWS! We will be holding elections for TWO SPOTS -- each a 0.5 assistantship -- later this semester! The appointments will begin in Fall; the nomination period begins in early March. Watch this space for more information, coming next week.
- CGEU Networking Event: February 27th at The Field! It'll be an evening event: come for the comradeship and solidarity, and stay for the good times!
- Office Hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 10.30 to 2.30, and Wednesday from 1.30 to 5.00. Swing on by and chat.
