Georgia DOT will repair I-75 later this year, developers went 1-for-2 in Hampton, and the BOC has six public hearings this week.
GDOT: concrete rehab planned on I-75 at I-675
Georgia DOT has a project later this year for concrete rehabilitation on I-75. The project extends between SR 54 / mile 233 and Walt Stephens Road / mile 226, including the section where Interstate 75 merges with I-675.
The project should improve stormwater run-off and decrease the standing water on rainy days. The interchange has been the site of approximately one dozen tractor-trailer incidents, like the one pictured, since October.
The Hampton city council approved the first reading for Jim Chapman Communities to build active-adult townhomes along state route 20. The project is planning two-hundred-fifty market-rent units. Learn More

Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, February 18, at 6:30 pm. Public hearings for several rezoning requests will be held.
Henry County DOT will install a new four-way stop at Bill Gardner Parkway and Lester Mill Road, weather permitting, on Thursday, February 20. The installation comes after a continued trend of traffic accidents at the intersection. Keep Reading
