Join us for our Spirit Night with the Charlotte Checkers!

We are less than a month away from our Spirit Night with the Charlotte Checkers on Saturday, March 7!!

McAlpine Elementary is invited to Bojangles' Coliseum as the Checkers take on the Utica Comets on Saturday, March 7th. Tickets are just $16 with $5 from every ticket purchased going directly back to McAlpine! Everyone will receive a free Checkers Calder Cup Champions hat at the game. We'll also draw names for 10 lucky students to go on the ice to pick up pucks!

Stage Crew is connected on Class Dojo. All information will be communicated through Class Dojo, so please make sure that you are connected! Official Stage Crew acceptance has sent out via Class Dojo. Due to the high number of students interested, Stage Crew members have been divided into two days. Make sure you know what day your student is assigned! If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Layton at kristenl.layton@cms.k12.nc.us.

Stage Crew ‘Monday’ members begin tomorrow at 3:00-4:15pm. Parents, send in a note to confirm transportation home (students should show their homeroom teacher and bring this note with them). Thank you!

Elephants, Tigers, and Books, OH MY! Save the date for the Spring Book Fair Jungle at McAlpine - March 10-13, 2020. More details to follow!

5th Grade Parents: 5th Grade Yearbook Dedication forms went home with students recently and is attached below.

2 Options for Submitting:

1) You can fill out the form - click here - (150 CHARACTERS in the message - not 150 words), email the picture to yearbookmcalpine@gmail.com, and send in money by cash, check, or pay through Pay4School to the front desk or to a 5th grade teacher; or

2) Email the picture and message (150 CHARACTERS in the message - not 150 words) to yearbookmcalpine@gmail.com and pay online through Pay4School.

Please be sure ALL information requested is included - NO BLANK SPACES (don't care what Taylor Swift says).

Dedications can be from parents, friends, immediate/extended family, the dog, cat, or goldfish.

Registration at McAlpine Elementary is now open for boys in grades 4^th and 5^th!

The Fall 2020 season starts on Thursday, March 19^thand meets Tuesdays and Thursdays right after school (2:45pm- 4pm) for an hour and fifteen minutes, and ends with a 5k race on May 16^th!
