Hey Parents!!!

Week two of Love Notes is done and Natalie did a wonderful job covering Love Languages, an idea that's been developed for years by Gary Chapman. We first learned the Love Languages in college and I love teaching teenagers something at an age before I learned them. I think that's an incredibly important role we're supposed to take on when discipling teenagers.

We've got some highlights from the message for you, and I actually consolidated the notes from the two weeks on a page on our harvest website - the button will take you there!
Here's the highlights from the message:
  • Five Love Languages (by Gary Chapman)
    • Gifts
    • Words of Affirmation
    • Physical Touch
    • Quality Time
    • Acts of Service
  • The way you give love is not necessarily the way you receive love.
  • When we look at the different love languages, we can learn more about God.

Here's some questions you could ask :
  • What do you think your love language is?
  • What do you think my love language is?
  • How do you think God shows his love for you?
  • How do you think you show love?
  • How do you think I show love?
How did last weeks questions go? Were you able to get to them? I hope we're being more of a resource than a burden on you! But we believe the most important conversation about relationships does not come from Harvest Youth, but from you the parent speaking with their teenager!

Thanks guys! See you next week for the last week of Love Notes!
