Connected Kingston February issue
February Update: We now have over 350 services listed on the website and over 200 trained Champions have been trained. It's great to see how Kingston is connecting! If you feel we are missing a local group or club please let us know about them by emailing info@connectedkingston.uk

Next month we will be launching an "Ask your Champion" scheme enabling residents to find their local champion online. If you have been trained and would like to be part of this scheme please contact us at info@connectedkingston.uk
Discover more in 2020

Throughout this month, we are promoting our campaign ‘Discover more in 2020’. Residents are encouraged to visit the Connected Kingston website to discover a new hobby, meet new people or get active.

There are billboards around the borough, posters on neighbourhood boards, notices up in GP surgeries and social media posts. We have created a toolkit with ready to use posts, tweets, and content and we would love to hear from you about how you will be encouraging people to ‘Discover more in 2020’.

If you have any questions or would like tailored posters please get in touch with communications@kva.org.uk
Connected Kingston Champions
Becoming a fully fledged champion

There are currently three parts to the Connected Kingston Champions training:
  • Face to face Connected Kingston Champions training
  • Complete the "Having Healthy Conversations" MECC training module. Click onto the support & login instructions to find out how to login. The training module takes 20 minutes and will support you to have strength based conversations.
  • Using the Connected Kingston website to make a 'connection' or signpost a resident, student or colleague to a service
If you have achieved all three please email info@connectedkingston.uk so that we can invite you to our next awards ceremony.

If you would like any support to become a Connected Kingston Champion please go to connectedkingston.uk or email info@connectedkingston.uk
