One month left to submit your AHIA proposal for our 2020 call!
The ALTER-Net High Impact Action (AHIA) initiative was introduced to support high-impact projects that foster collaboration between partner institutes on hot topics. Past AHIA projects have yielded publications in major journals, produced tangible policy and societal impact, and established long-term international research partnerships.
We at ALTER-Net are committed to supporting the work of researchers who are addressing the most pressing issues facing science and society. This year, we will be accepting proposals on the following subjects:
-
The dependence of human society on biodiversity and ecosystem services
-
Sustainable futures for European landscapes
-
Climate mitigation in European urban areas: the role of ecosystem services
Proposals on other excellent topics relevant to biodiversity and ecosystems will also be considered.
€15,000 in funding is available for successful proposals. To be eligible for AHIA funding, 50%+ of project participants must be from ALTER-Net institutes. Project deliverables should include the following:
- 1 high-impact paper
- 1 policy brief/media brief
- 1 web page for the ALTER-Net website
