On Sunday, March 29, 2020, the Animal Welfare League of Frederick County (AWLFC) will hold a Silent Auction at Oscar’s Alehouse in Frederick, Md. Additionally, our friends at Reach Out Rescue & Resources, Inc. and Frederick County Animal Control will be holding an adoption event during the auction. As with all of our fundraisers, 100% of the proceeds go directly to support our programs and services throughout the entire year. As a no-kill rescue organization, we foster and find caring homes for many companion animals in this area. For example, in 2019, we rescued and found homes for over 140 kittens. Additionally, our low-cost spay and neuter program helps reduce pet overpopulation in the community. We also provide support services such as medical assistance and a pet food bank for those in need. 

We are seeking donations of merchandise, services, gift cards, etc. to be auctioned during this fun event. A donation provides a great opportunity to publicize your business to the greater Frederick County area. The event will be extensively marketed throughout the greater Frederick County area via social media, websites, and flyers. The marketing will include mentions of donations received and the associated businesses and/or individuals. Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. 

The AWLFC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Frederick County’s largest all-volunteer, no-kill animal welfare and rescue organization. Our federal ID number is 52-2313863 and a copy of our Internal Revenue Service tax exemption letter will be provided upon request.
