A Need and a Resource
Four congregations now invite disciples to gather monthly in a focused day of prayer. They pray for needs in their own congregation, the deep needs in the Ridge-Meadows community, for the invasion of Christ’s Kingdom into our proud and morally rudderless nation, and for God’s intervention in multiple crises and urgent needs around the world. Two other congregations are making plans to join in. May all do so soon! There is spiritual power in united, fervent prayer!
Some have suggested the addition of a day of prayer when those who are mobility challenged or for other reasons cannot travel to a central location could pray in unity from their homes. A coordinator for this day is needed. Please let us know if that person is you!
You may be interested also in a resource from Maple Ridge Alliance for your 24/7 day of prayer. They have developed a PPT template for their prayer room that can be shown on a computer monitor. It is also available in a printed 3 ring binder. Your prayer room team could adapt this template for your congregational needs adding other prayer topic suggestions. Have a look here. What is Breaking the Father's Heart - and Yours?
Do you every wonder what breaks Abba Father's heart? If you've never done so, get a piece of paper and ask Him. Write down what you sense the Holy Spirit telling you. Now you are ready to pray.
Some of what will be posted on the "four walls" (physically or digitally) of your prayer room will come from asking this deep question. Abba's heart also yearns. Ask him what he yearns for. The Holy Spirit shares the deep places of the Father's heart.
As you ask and set your heart to pray accordingly, the Father will open more and more of his heart to you. The intimacy may cause you some tears in concert with his. This is real intimacy, sharing his love for the world for which he gave Himself on the cross.
