Hey <<First Name>>,
The day you decide to publish your first blog post is the day you seal your fate. Over time, people get tricked into believing you know things, and sometimes they ask you questions:
- “What’s the best credit card?”
- “How much should I spend on my wedding?”
- “Are expensive jeans worth it?”
And the right answer usually is the one no one wants to hear: it depends. Because it does. Life is rarely black and white. The reason I can’t answer their questions is because I usually don’t have enough context into their situation.
Context is the secret sauce that helps you make the money choices that will fit you best.
While you can read books on investing, sometimes the best way to get concepts to stick is through anecdotes and context. Hearing about someone else’s situation, how they weighed their options, and why they chose what they did.
Well, my friends, I finally got an investing question I can answer AND can hopefully serve as a teachable moment: should this reader buy ETFs or mutual funds?

Also, today is the last day of The Real Real's shopping event, where you can earn up to $500 in site credit. As I'm noticing the spring blooms starting to emerge, I'm in the mood to browse warmer-weather looks. Some options I've saved to my The Real Real list:
