Director of the American Civil Liberties Union Anthony Romero '87 wins Woodrow Wilson Prize at Alumni Day Celebrations
Accepting the award Romero spoke of his transition to Princeton as a "working class Puerto Rican kid from a vocational public high school."  Over 1,000 alumni attended the event, which also honored Nobel Prize laureate Kip Thorne *65 and celebrated the 50th anniversary of coeducation at Princeton.    

President Eisgruber joins Princeton Municipal Council for Annual Meeting
Eisgruber stated that community issues including diversity and affordability would be areas for possible exploration by faculty, as well as by students, who already have worked and conducted research in Princeton as a part of the University’s community-based learning initiatives. “It’s very important to me that this town remains diverse and continues to have a strong African American community along with a broad range of other communities, and that we all feel strength in the variety of people that surround us,” Eisgruber said.
