✊💻 Tech Workers Coalition NYC 💻✊

Run for Steering Committee

Hi folks,

It’s time to elect a new Steering Committee!  Nominate yourself here!

TWC NYC is a coalition of workers in and around the tech industry who organize to build worker power and an inclusive & equitable tech industry through rank & file self-organization and education.  If that mission appeals to you and you’re willing to commit a few hours each month to keeping the organization on track then consider running!

The steering committee consists of five members who are responsible for encouraging and supporting activity within our local that moves our mission forward.  Responsibilities may include: helping members to connect with one another, securing space for meetings, participating in periodic steering calls to discuss the direction of the organization, managing access to group resources (funds, email and social media accounts), and fostering connections to other relevant organizing groups in New York City.

Candidates should nominate themselves.  In order to be eligible, you must have attended at least one local meeting in person.

To apply, please fill out this brief form before midnight this Sunday the 23rd.  Once the nomination period closes, we'll hold an election to fill 5 steering committee positions and 2 alternates.

If you have any questions, please email us at info@techworkersco.nyc, or reach our directly to an existing steering committee member (Aaron, Ross, Nicole, Eric, Brad).

Finally, if you want to stay in touch with your fellow tech workers outside of meetings or emails, join us on the Slack team at #local-nyc and follow us on twitter!

If you have any questions or requests regarding accessibility or childcare, or for any other reason, please reach out to us (via this email) and we will do our best to address them!
