We've been very busy here at Sarah Homfray Embroidery since I last wrote to you. I've been on my textile adventure to Jaipur where I also taught some goldwork embroidery in the beautiful gardens of our heritage hotel which was wonderful; you can see us all here stitching in the sunshine!

I have also started Vlogging and doing YouTube Stories, so there is more chance to get involved and have a sneak peak behind the scenes than ever! See below for all the information on this.

Jonathan stayed behind to look after the shop and help all of our lovely customers and as usual we have new items for sale (with more waiting to go on!).  Check these out below as well as our recently uploaded new videos; if you've ever tried the goldwork cutwork technique you will appreciate these as a reminder of what to do! Once you have learnt this technique, this is what you can do with it! This beautiful piece was hanging on a wall in a shop that we went to in Jaipur. This looks the same as cutwork but is called Zardosi work and worked with a small hook; but you can do this with an ordinary needle as above!
 

Vlogging!
 

At the beginning of this year I started a vlog (video log);  I wanted to add a bit of context to what I do and show what goes into owning an embroidery business (it's not all embroidery!) and I would love you to come and join me! I've got some exciting ideas about where to go with this so I hope you will hang around and join me on my vlogging journey!

Handcut shisha mirrors

These mirrors are hand blown and hand cut glass shisha mirrors for embellishing your embroideries. We've got them in different sizes and now three different colours (gold and blue additions!). These mirrors are hard to find so get yours now!

Felt squares


New felt colours now in stock; use as padding for the coloured purls or applique into your projects.


New coloured metal purls


We have three more goldwork embroidery coloured metal purls in: pink, blue and orange, 1mm diameter. These are lovely for outlining and for stumpwork projects also. See our whole range of metals purls by clicking the link below

I am now also making YouTube stories; If you aren't familiar with these, they are a collection of short videos (maximum 15 seconds long). I'm using them to give you a little peek behind the scenes and see what we get up to here at Sarah Homfray Embroidery! You can only view them on a mobile device and they only stay up for 7 days; once they are gone they are gone!

To view them, just go to my channel (type in Sarah Homfray Embroidery in the YouTube search bar) and scroll along the top bar until you see 'Stories'. Click on this to view. They will appear in the order they were uploaded. Just tap on the left of the screen to see the previous story and the right hand side to see the next story! You can also 'Like' and 'Comment' just as you do on our normal videos,  it's always lovely to hear from you!
