Last April, students, staff, local people and school children came together to delve into nature in the historic Royal Fort Gardens and record the huge variety of species in the gardens. The activities were part of the citizen science initiative City Nature Challenge which saw Bristol and Bath record the most observations and species in Europe. "It was a really fun day getting to work alongside primary school children to discover our little patch of nature in the city at Royal Fort Gardens...” (student volunteer).

This year, City Nature Challenge is back (24 April) and we're looking for student and staff volunteers who could get involved in helping people identify species in the University's gardens. For more info, email Diane Thorne.
