  • Infants: “Growing in Grace and Gratitude” 
  • Children: "Jesus Welcomes the Children." Some objectives are: hear the story of Jesus welcoming children and see that children have things to teach adults.  Younger Children: Games- Corner Rm/Main Bldg. Older ChildrenStorytelling- Blue Rm/Ormond Bldg..  Adult Pick-Up from the Bright Rm.
  • Middle School: grades 5-6-7, Connect. Youth Rm.  Our journey through the Old with a look at the Diaspora, the scattering of Jews outside of Palestine and Jerusalem.
Wear your pajamas.  Bring your favorite stuffed animal.  Bring a game you like to play.  And, of course, there will be pancakes and King Cake

The Wired Word links the latest headlines and current events with appropriate Scripture generating animated discussion.  This week's topic: The landlocked South American nation of Bolivia is preparing for new elections following the ousting last October of its longtime president Evo Morales, who built a following by emphasizing indigenous rights and beliefs. The interim government is unapologetic about its efforts to turn the country away from indigenous religion toward an explicitly Bible-based Christian foundation, as those currently in power define it.

  • Conversations in Art & Faith:  How Artists have painted, illustrated Jesus of the Gospels . Sundays of March, 9:45 a.m.  Led by Dr. Lucy Curzon and Rev. Cathy Hoop
  • Lenten Lunches: NOON, Tuesdays in March.  We will study Amy-Jill Levine's Entering the Passion
  • A Walk of Prayer and Repentance: Thursdays of Lent (Mar. 5 – Apr. 2) 7:00-7:15 a.m. we will meet at a location on the Tuscaloosa Civil Rights Trail.
  • Visit the National Memorial for Peace and Justice.  Mar. 19.  This is an all-day trip to Montgomery
  • A Social Justice Walk to the Cross:  This year's Stations of the Cross display has an added Social Justice dimension.  Please click on the link for more information.
Legislative Day for Alabama Arise is Tuesday, February 25! Registration is free, but space is limited. This non-partisan, non-profit agency seeks to create a state that is more equitable for all, and advocates on behalf of the impoverished. Contact the office to carpool. We need drivers!

Routes and instructions are provided. On the third Sunday each month, drivers arrive at church at 8:00 a.m. (or earlier if they would like to eat!) and will be finished in ample time to participate in Christian education opportunities, choir and worship. A new Food Pantry Volunteer Opportunity
The third Tuesday of each month to distribute Supplemental Sr. Food Boxes.  Jennifer  needs one additional worker to meet her at the West AL Food Bank, 10:00 a.m. to load 100 boxes, 25-30 lb. each, into the church van.
