Host your own community sessions

...on the Climate Emergency or the future of Scotland:

KSB is offering support through The Community Leader Climate Programme by providing a trainer and food if you organise and host a training session on the Climate Emergency for community leaders and influencers. The programme is open to anyone who plays an active role in their community; formal or informal, and to people who are active in any kind of community; with examples including, but not limited to geographic, faith, sport, hobby, LGBTI and ethnic minority communities. If you would like to host a training session find out more
here or contact claire.gibson@keepscotlandbeautiful.org

The Scottish Government is inviting local people to community workshops on the next National Planning Framework 4. NPF4 is a long-term strategy for Scotland setting out policies and proposals for the development and use of land until 2050. Key issues for the next NPF include: housing (particularly for older and disabled people), health and well-being, equalities, rural re-population, biodiversity and climate change. NPF4 will have the status of the development plan for planning purposes. This is a change to the current position and will mean that its policies will have a stronger role in informing day to day decision making. NPF4 will also be an important document for communities as they prepare any Local Place Plan.

If you are interested in thinking about the future development of Scotland take part in a workshop or organise your own session with help from the Community Grant Fund (support of £200-£300). Details of the Fund and other resources can be found at: https://www.transformingplanning.scot/national-planning-framework/resources/ under the Early Engagement tab (closing date 29 February 2020).
