This email contains the password for your upcoming online course of Art Class: Mixed Media with Susan Schwake. Each day you can log in and view the posts. The videos will range from 7 minutes to 20 minutes each. There will also be downloadable materials to use!
I am thrilled to have you be part of this exciting journey with me. I have been teaching painting for the past 20 years in my own little art school, written 5 books about making art and am so excited to expand this experience online.
During these next 30 days we will PLAYFULLY explore every juicy mixed media related technique AND learn more about - color, line, composition, mark making, value and much more. I invite each and every one of you to share your work in our comments section of our private classroom site. With sharing we each learn from each other and grow in positive ways.
Each week I will be answering questions and commenting on each of your works in comments section. As the teacher my critiques and comments about your work is my job - not for other students. Positivity is welcomed !! Also we have a Facebook Group which is secret. If you would like to join please message me at my Susan Schwake Art page and I'll add you in a flash.This is a self guided class and interaction with others may be sporadic - however I will be available for comments and critique weekly.

I invite you to head over to the site and log in to view the materials list and prepare to start! I would recommend using what you already have first as it will most likely be perfect. Mixed Media can use up a lot of recycled papers from unlikely sources (such as the safety paper inside of bills! It's beautiful!) The first video of the class will explain in depth each of the materials as well.
NOTE!: Please do not worry if you don't have all the materials at the first day of class. You can order or buy them locally and add as we go.There is plenty of time to review the material in the classroom!! At no time do I expect anyone to keep up with the daily lessons on a daily basis. There is a LOT of material to cover. Please work at your own pace. Life can get in the way and we all understand this! You will have until December 31,2019 to review and soak up all the materials!
