A Note From Linda
Last week I quoted William H. Lamar, pastor of the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., who said: "The church’s language is not spectator language. It does work, and it has work to do." The story known as The Transfiguration (Luke 9:28-36) is a workhorse of a story. In the history of ideas it worked as a quantum leap in human consciousness. It continues to work in the issues we encounter in our everyday lived experiences. This Sunday we will re-familiarize ourselves with this conscious-shifting story and examine it through a 21st century lens—exploring the "work" the Transfiguration has done and what it still has to do.
With ever-deepening gratitude and appreciation for all of you, Linda

Annual Meeting & Potluck:
Sunday March 22 after our service
Another Annual Meeting So Soon?
Seems like we just had an annual meeting and now we have scheduled another, why? At the last annual meeting, we voted to change the date of the annual meeting so we could 1) show ACTUAL budget numbers for the prior year and 2) have ACTUAL numbers for projecting/budgeting for the following year. The meeting on March 22nd will be simply to go over the 2020 budget which was approved this week at the February board meeting. This simple agenda will allow us to have more time for our potluck and fellowship. Make plans to attend!
