FEBRUARY 2020

<<First Name>>,

Hello from FlightAware headquarters in Houston, Texas!  If you're receiving this email you're currently, or at some point were, part of our receiver network.  That means you are a hobbyist, professional, or just plain enjoy flight tracking using ADS-B.  Since you're already interested in what we do, why not come to work for FlightAware?

The ADS-B team is currently looking for an IoT Software Developer.  This position involves writing software for PiAware, FlightFeeders, and the backend processes that ingest the data sent from them.  You'd be working on software that hobbyists love in a very high-profile team.  We thrive on collaboration, which means you'd be working closely with our hardware engineer and logistics experts to find new ways to grow our receiver network and keep users engaged. We currently have over 25,000 receivers globally and plan on increasing this number by 30% during 2020.

Are you more of a front-end engineer?  We've also got Web Software Developer positions open!  This engineer would work on not only FlightAware.com, but also updates for SkyAware. If you're the type of person who would enjoy enhancing and expanding a website to allow users to interact with and explore exciting aviation data, then this is the position for you.

If you’re looking for a unique technical challenge, we're also looking for a  Tier 2 Support Engineer for our Flight Tracking team.  They would be helping us support our operations-critical data services for some of biggest names in the aviation industry. You could be a backend developer looking to get more client interaction or a skilled technical support guru that has picked up some coding skills in your travels.

FlightAware turns 15 years old this year, is self-financed and profitable but still ambitious with the hunger of a startup.  We offer competitive compensation, a fun work environment (complete with our on-site ADS-B lab), and all the benefits that you would expect from the world's premier digital aviation company.  Lunch can be ordered using FlightAware's "LunchAware" system, which supports restaurant voting and cashless transactions. Fresh fruit and a variety of snacks are available for free.  In short, it's an amazing place to work. If you’re not convinced yet, check out this recent article in the Houston Chronicle about FlightAware; it even offers a sneak peek of the ADS-B lab!

Please visit our careers page for our other listings.  As we grow, we're consistently adding new positions.  If you see something that might fit a friend or coworker, please let them know.  We're always on the lookout for great talent.

Before we let you go, a huge thank you to everyone for hosting an ADS-B site.  We appreciate your support of the FlightAware network.  See you next month!

As a data feeder to our network, you get several benefits!

One important benefit is the free FlightAware Enterprise account (click to see details of what this includes)! When your data feed is active and connected to FlightAware, your account is automatically upgraded to Enterprise access (USD 89.95 per month value).

Thank you for being a member of our ADS-B network. You provide valuable flight tracking information to the FlightAware network that helps us keep air transportation safe and efficient.
