We will sheet mulch and weed the area between the new bathrooms and bike rack and begin the process of transforming this area from a weedy eye-sore into a habitat garden. If time allows, we'll move on to tidying the garden area. Friends, family & neighbors are welcome to join!
ASK: Bring your large cardboard boxes to school to use in sheet mulching to suppress weeds. Remove tape and plastic and bring large, flattened boxes to the garden (under the eaves, near the back gate).
PTA UPDATES
Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday, March 10th, 6pm in the library and will include nominations for the PTA Board. Without a Board, we cannot move ahead with next year's PTA budget or approving expenses for next year.
February's meeting was full of updates, including dates for Read-a-thon (April 14-17), Science Night (April 30th 6-8pm), Mindfulness assemblies in early April and 2020 Walk a Thon, Friday September 25th. Join us March 10th!

Most of our PTA Board will retire at the end of April: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer positions must be filled.

Do you enjoy networking with other families and encouraging a connection to our school? Consider being our PTA President (or Co-President with a friend!). Key responsibilities:
Facilitating monthly meetings, including setting the agenda and leading the meeting
Review committee reports and meeting minutes
Liaison to principal, to exchange information on PTA and school activities (on site preferred)
Promote outreach, inclusion and diversity to connect families, schools and community
Time Commitment: Average 2 hours per week + monthly PTA meeting (2 hours, plus 1-2 hours prep)
