Galentine's Day is all about sharing the love, and what better way to show your love than with a McNugget bouquet?! Keya Wingfield of Candy Valley Cake Company worked with us to design these custom Galentine's Day bouquets made with real McNuggets.  We also worked with local illustrator Hayden Ireland to create a card with the likenesses of some of our favorite RVA gals in celebration of Galentine's Day. Learn more about Hayden and her work here. See more photos from our McNugget campaign here

We've been having the best time with The Tooth Brigade. From our influencer preview event to our launch at BBGB books to our segments on CBS6 and NBC12, our photoshoot at Whim Wonderland and our popup at clover, we couldn't be more thankful for the community support!
After being inspired by storefronts on my trip to New York during the holidays, I made a faux flower wall display for my office. Here's how we made our DIY flower wall and links to everything you need to make your own!

BOOKSHOP.ORG Open Book by Jessica Simpson My business book club friend Amy sent out this article to our group about keeping a balanced bookshelf and reading diet. I replied with a laugh that I was balancing reading about stoicism with Jessica Simpson's memoir. That was before I finished the book... One of my favorite lines is toward the end, where she says  "If you do not have that stable presence in your life, take the time to become that stable presence for yourself - to find that stillness within you no matter what storm you're in." This was such a wonderful book and I'd recommend it to anyone. It feels like you're having a conversation with her.

BOOKSHOP.ORG Stillness Is The Key by Ryan Holiday Wowowow I loved this book. I took so many pages of notes on this one. Some of my favorite nuggets: "Routine, done long enough ad sincerely enough, becomes more than routine. It becomes ritual - sanctified and holy." "This is what the best journals look like. They aren't for the reader; they're for the writer - to slow the mind down, to wage peace with oneself." I'm huge on journaling and love the bullet journal method, because it mixes to-dos with reflection.

BOOKSHOP.ORG Never Split The Difference by Chris Voss I'm worried to share this book because you'll all know my negotiating secrets. haha. This was a really interesting book. The author is an FBI international kidnapping negotiator. He also has a masterclass.

BOOKSHOP.ORG Anti-Diet by Christy Harrison I love Christy's podcast, Food Psych. I felt like I was having revelations while I was reading it, but there was so much to take in  I can tell I'm going to want to read this book over and over. I think it's the type of message you need to hear a few times.

@MATTNAVARA  Some hardcore instagram grid work by @hbomax.  I've been trying to think of creative ways to use the "grid" on Instagram and this is definitely an inspiration. Someone in the thread pointed out that @aldiuk also has a good one. and I agree - it's a beaut.

@RVACOFFEESTAIN Spoilers alert. A free 6 hours or a free weekend doesn’t exist. BUT a free 30 minutes does. So if you just carve out 30 minutes to do hyper-focused work on it then by the end of the week you’ve spent 3.5 hrs working on it! That’s 14 hours a month you’ve dedicated to working on it. I love this little message of encouragement from Doug Orleski

BUSINESS INSIDER An artist created a giant mural across 50 buildings in Cairo without the government noticing Amid Cairo's brick buildings and heaping piles of trash is a sprawling work of art, which, at first, looks messy and incoherent. But when you stand on the nearby hillside and read the spray-painted Arabic "calligraffiti," as its creator Tunisian-French artist eL Seed calls it, the message reads loud and clear: "If one wants to see the light of the sun, he must wipe his eyes."
