The truth is, I create an issue of The Scrap Basket over a week if not a little longer. In the last 10 days, when I began the draft for this issue, I just so happened to come to the sweet spot of bringing two long-term projects to completion, plus one short-term one. Pictured is my Teeny Tiny Trip Around the World, started back at QuiltCon in 2018. So as not to bore anyone that also follows me on my blog, I'll just link to the other quilt finishes -Summer Sampler 2019 and Interlude. It's relatively unheard of to finish three quilts in a matter of a couple of weeks, but boy did that feel good.
Seeing Lucia's baby girl quilt made with improv circle rosettes stopped me cold. Such a creative and beautiful use of the technique. She says she was inspired by both Susan/

improv circles, which is high praise. Seriously lovely, and somewhere there's a very lucky baby girl. [eastmaindesignsco]
Natalie is smitten with "antique Amish quilts and their rich, moody colours," enough that she wanted to make her own. Borrowing some traditional Amish blocks, she created this beauty, about which Natalie says, "It’s kind of a love letter to the Amish quilt." Finished with a 3/4" binding, it is saturated to the nth degree. See Natalie's progress in #amishquiltstudy.

I was drawn in by Debi's quilt the moment I saw it. Inspired by the art of Sally Brandl Watercolors, Debi hand-stamped stripes onto white and dark blue fabrics before pairing them with Moda grunge. I'd say her hand-stamping put her inspired design over the top. [blueskinquilts]

A ruler sleevewasn't necessarily something I knew I needed, but when I saw Krista sharea tutorial recently, I quickly decided I did. What a fun bit of QAYG, and easily adapted for any size ruler. [poppyprint]

Besides being a quilter, my friend Ellen/ellyn's place, is a weaver. I'd seen her make oodles of dish towels, a runner, and such. But my jaw dropped when I saw she had recently woven.... shoelaces! What? Made on her new Inkle Loom, here's a picture of her first pair. Pretty cool, right??
