Dear Friends,

This Sunday we are going to continue a four week series on the book of James. You will be learning about James 5: 7-12 this week.

I saw an interesting quote this week..."What if church became the reason you did not do something". For example, I can not go shopping I need to go to church, I can not sleep in I need to go to church, I can not go to that event I need to go to church. In a world where we are constantly complaining about the lack of kindness often we pass up the one place where kindness is built upon each week.

Join us for Shrove Tuesday Pancake dinner on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:00-6:30pm. Join our kiddos as they prepare this meal of self-reflection.

Join us at 6:00pm for an Ash Wednesday (February 26th) Service as we prepare for the Lent Season.

Please join us and bring a snack, if you are able.

Several of you have asked for information regarding Noah Detar's next show. It is February 29th from 1:00-3:00pm at the Arts Center at Nazareth College. (4245 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14618) This is a free event.

There are several opportunities to learn and worship during this Lent Season. Here is a schedule:

Pancake Dinner - Tues 25th 5:00-6:30 pm (Free)
Ash Wednesday Service - Wed 26th - 6:00pm

Lent Dinner and Movie
Pastor Kim Lyons and I will be doing a dinner and movie series in March. These movies will be held at Branchport UMC and begin with a dinner at 6:00pm. The movie will start at 6:30pm.

March 6 - Greatest Showman (movie)
March 13 - Mr. Roger's Neighborhood (movie)
March 20 - Messiah (movie)

Lenten Lunches will be held at the First Baptist Church in Penn Yan beginning February 27th from 12:00-1:00pm. The cost is $7.00 per person.
