Motors for Music (M4M) is this Saturday!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

The 5th Annual Motors for Music Community Car Show is this Saturday! This is a fundraiser for our program. We need spectators (free admission) and volunteers. There will be amazing cars, great food, and live music from many of our phenomenal ensembles. Come on out to experience a great event. The show is this Saturday, March 7th in the Student Lot and gates open at 7:00 AM.

We need volunteers to help make Motors for Music a success! Please click HERE to sign up. If you are unable to donate your time we do need WinCo gift cards to help with supplies for the Car Show. ⚜️Color Guard Events⚜️

Our Varsity Winter Guard is heading to Phoenix for the WGI Regionals. Good luck and good skills!

We will be hosting the Winter Guard Championship on March 29th and will need a lot of volunteers! This is a huge event that brings in quite a bit of fundraising money for the program so please put it on your calendar.

Color guard is still accepting cans and bottles for recycling as a way to raise money. Please bring to the guard shed behind the band room at the school - make sure to let a guard member know it is there so it won't be mistaken for trash.

March 11th: Booster board meeting at 6:30 pm

March 29th: SMHS hosts Winter Guard Championship

We would like to thank you all for your generosity in the form of time and donations. We appreciate every bit of your support over this amazing fall season! Due to your support through volunteer hours, spreading the word, coming ready to buy food and so much more, our fundraiser goal has been met! Unfortunately we are running around $7k lower in family donations than in past years, which may require us to make some changes in how the boosters support students in the spring. We understand every year is different and we do our best to keep the fundraising efforts going to keep the high quality coaching and support throughout the year!

As you know, this amazing program of ours comes at a cost, between $500-$800 per student! We will continue to work hard on fundraising events. Past events included Jazz in Havana, the Mattress Sale, Dinner Evenings, and more. Motors for Music is our next big fundraising event and will occur on Saturday, March 7th. We ask that you also work with us to reach our funding goal!

We are asking that every family consider a way to help in our effort to have every student sponsored. Either by family donation through our Sponsor-A-Student page (www.sanmarcosbands.org/sas/ ) or by reaching out to local businesses and asking for their support, here is a letter you can use, click HERE.
