All the dinner ideas and deals for this weeks Seasonal fare.

This is the week that you want to stock up on Golden Queen Peaches and preserve them for the Winter. If you want to make the most of the while they're fresh have a bash at this Peach Crostata, I have posted a similar recipe before described as a Galette. It's a pretty rustic dish which means if it looks a bit messy on the table that's OK.
Seasonal Tip: We have some Blackboy Peaches in from the South Island so if you are a fan make sure you pick some up in the next week or so before they disappear.

Pork Ribs

Ribs are a family go to dinner at my house. They are super easy and everyone eats them, which is a real bonus.  There are a ton of ways to cook ribs but for a family dinner I would cover them in the oven for 1.5-2 hours on 160 degrees, then glaze them with something sweet and salty like BBQ sauce and return to the oven at 180 degrees for about 15 mins until they go sticky.

Eggplant

At my house Eggplant is the opposite of Ribs, the kids hate it and complain until I relent and eat everyone's dinner myself. I love Eggplant and luckily it's on the Blackboard this week. Have a go at this Eggplant Yakatori this weekend on one of the CasusGrills that we are also selling.

Tomatoes

This is another recipe (or similar) that I have posted a number of times over the past few years, which is really tasty and easy. Have a go at this Roasted Tomato Salsa, you can't go wrong.

Butterflied Lamb

This is the screaming hot deal this week. Butterflied Lamb Legs are a classic for the Kiwi Summer BBQ. Get a couple this week because the price is as hot as this years Summer.

Sausage of the week

This week we are doing my number one favourite sausage, the Godfather. It is a Sicilian style Pork Sausage with fennel, fresh Lemon zest, Oregano and just a little bit of red chilli for a kick. You can throw them on the barbie with the Lamb when your friends come over on the weekend.

Friday Drinks

To match our Sicilian Sausage we have a great deal on a Sicilian wine. It's pretty easy drinking and your Brando and Pacino impressions will become a little better after each glass.

See you this week.
