This month, Lacey Johnson is activating [x]space with Ready or Not!, a showcase of visual art and thinking responding to the theme of surviving climate emergencies and disasters. From March 21-29, there will be free workshops and interactive experiences related to emergency preparedness. All Ready or Not! events and workshops are FREE and open to the public and located at [x]space arts hub, 5137 Mission Street, and are supported by the California Arts Council.

Lacey Johnson is an interdisciplinary artist whose work is part manifesto, part pedagogy, and part thrift store self help book. Through art, music, and videos that explore her code of ethics, she dissects the social world and conjures transformed practices of being in it. Lacey is a youth worker, a collaborator and an organizer, and has been a member of multiple queer art and activism collectives. Having lived through Hurricanes, Tornadoes, and Earthquakes, she is no stranger to evacuations, bunkering down, and staying ready.
