Dear friend,
The online fundraising platform GlobalGiving is offering 15 organisations the chance to win year-long funding from its GirlFund.
W.TEC is in the running to win one of these 15 spots. The funds raised will go towards our flagship programme, the She Creates Camp, which equips girls with science and technology skills, thereby fostering their creativity and nurturing their interest in pursuing related careers.
To win, W.TEC needs to raise as much money as we can from as many people as possible between Friday, March 6 - Friday, March 13.
So how can you support us?
1. Visit W.TEC’s project page on https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/w-tec-girls-technology-camp/
2. Donate as little as $10 (N3,600) to W.TEC to support our work. No amount is too small or large :-)
3. Share our project with others in your network who are interested in supporting girls’ education and increasing their quality of life
Your donations are best made with a debit card, credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or individually purchased gift cards. Donations made by other means (including corporate gift cards) are ineligible and will not count towards our number of donors.

The Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) is a Nigerian nonprofit organisation committed to building a more inclusive technology ecosystem, with the next generation of women technology creators, entrepreneurs and leaders.
W.TEC’s She Creates Camp brings Science, Technology and Engineering to life and teaches girls to develop useful technologies that solve everyday and pressing societal problems.
This seems to be working, as 86.21% of our alumnae surveyed stated that participating in the camp inspired them to pursue a STEM-related career path.
In 2020, we will run 3 camps for 150 girls across 3 states. Please support us by giving at: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/w-tec-girls-technology-camp
