SAVE'S ANIMAL RESCUES

For over 2 years now, Kent Animal Defenders have been documenting a case of horrendous cruelty at a farm in Kent. Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries report on the sheep who were rescued from there and now live in sanctuary: "One positive outcome of Kent Animal Defenders' tireless work was that 8 sheep were given the chance of sanctuary instead of culling. This week the lucky 8 made the journey to Goodheart, although one ewe was sadly so weak that she did not make it. The remaining 3 rams and 4 ewes are now receiving round-the-clock care due to the appalling conditions they had been left in. One ewe has a burst udder and another cannot yet stand due to foot rot. All are very thin and weak and will need a great deal of veterinary care to pull through."

Shifting Farms & Ranchers to Plant-Based Profits? It’s Happening!

Sydney Save Animals in Laboratories have been holding monthly vigils against animal experimentation at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA Labs) for almost 1.5 years. On February 25, three baboons escaped from a truck that was transporting them to RPA Labs. This escape reignited public attention on the horrors of animal experimentation. Sydney Save Animals in Laboratories report from their protest outside RPA on March 1, which record 150-strong attendance: "We had an exceptional turnout and media response to our protest about animal experimentation. Please share our posts as we wish for this research facility to be shut down."
NEW ZEALAND Christchurch Animal Save bore witness on February 21: "The holding pens were almost full when we arrived at the slaughterhouse. Looked like all 'beef' cattle today - healthy, strong and about 18 months old. All of them were scared and some very distressed noises as they called to one another."

Save Movement Outreach - Netherlands has been holding outreach events. They report: "During a Save Square, the group is divided in two: one part will stand in the cube holding signs and laptops that show footage from the animal agriculture industry (farms, slaughterhouses, vigils). The other part of us will do outreach: they start conversations with people watching the footage and use the Socratic method."

MEXICO
Cancún Fish Save held a vigil and protest for aquatic animals inside a supermarket. They report: "We demonstrated peacefully inside the facilities of a supermarket where they show the bodies of murdered fish and live lobsters held in small fish tanks, to be sold as merchandise and end their days in the worst way. The disruption was a success; there were many people who were in the area and recorded, photographed and listened to our message." Watch a livestream here.
Tampa Bay Animal Save report from their February 23 vigil outside the Musa's slaughterhouse: "We were able to bear witness to this individual trapped in a cage on the back of someone's truck. Trying with all their might to liberate their self, crying with terror and confusion, upon being brought to the slaughterhouse."
