We used to talk about how quickly the world is changing. But we could not have predicted the way our world would suddenly be changing in major and unprecedented ways daily, and sometimes by the hour or the minute.

There has not been much said about bailouts for musicians and other artists.

A large percentage of the population considers musicians and artists important contributors to what makes their lives sustainable and enjoyable. Now is the time to help our musician friends make it to the other side of this meltdown of the gig economy. 

Whaling City Sound encourages you to think about what music means to you and to give back in a way that matters. We are assisting artists in bringing you music in a form that you can enjoy, and that will reward those who give us their music.

The good news about bad news is that it puts priorities in order. If you are fortunate enough to have more than you need at this time, please consider giving some of it to the musicians whose work you have admired and enjoyed in those wonderful moments of your life.

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, I've been serving as Director of Music Ministries at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Delray Beach, FL for the the past three years. I will be leaving that position at the end of March to begin as Executive Director of the Binghamton Philharmonic.

While this doesn't bring my wife Jackie and me back to New England, we'll be quite close to our friends and family while also working within a vibrant musical community. Who knows? I might even play some harpsichord here and there!
