In response to recommendations from a wide range of housing stakeholders, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Division of Housing (DOH) will form a Strategic Housing Working Group to advance and meet Colorado’s diverse affordable housing needs. The Strategic Housing Working Group will work with DOH to help create and advise on best strategies that elevate, act on, and maintain momentum for statewide affordable and attainable housing. The Department of Local Affairs, Division of Housing (DOH) receives block grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in order to develop affordable housing, improve public facilities, and fund economic development. As a condition of receiving these funds, the State is required to analyze impediments to fair housing choice. A contractor, Western Economic Services, has prepared a draft report of this analysis for public review.
