We promise not to overwhelm you, but plan to keep you informed of progress in establishing a life plan community in Humboldt County.  

What can you do to help now?  Get five of your friends to go to lifecarehumboldt.org and sign up.  Send out e-mails to your friends about the website and mention why you are interested in supporting Life Care Humboldt.   The larger the communication network we have, the better we look to potential funders and grantors.  

Response from potential residents of a life plan community has been enthusiastic with over 300 people signed up for e-mail updates in the first 3 weeks. In January 2020 we established a non-profit corporation in California, Life Care Humboldt.  On 2/26/20 we held our first Board meeting, electing officers and adopting bylaws.  Our values include being inclusive, actively engaged in the broader community, engaging in sustainable practices that improve our environments, fostering a culture of generosity and being a good employer.  

Going forward in 2020, our intent is to grown our network and for our Board to secure an option on property, fundraise to finance further planning to prepare an “offer ready” document to solicit social investment funds to move the project along.
