Location & Arrival
The performance will take place at the LA State Historic Park -- the box office is located along Baker St on the northeast end of the park. Look for Sweet Land signs along the paved path.
REMINDER: Your showtime is 7:00pm, check-in begins at 6:30p
Please allow 30 minutes to park and locate the box office.
Parking & Transit
Free parking is available in the outer grounds along N Spring St. Navigate to 1500 N Spring St Los Angeles, CA 90012 and use the entrance at Sotello Street and N Spring St to access the general parking. Additional street parking is available along the Southeast side of N Spring Street. Please check all posted street and parking signs. Parking is a 5 minute walk to the Box Office.
We will have reserved parking for those with limited mobility or needing extra assistance closer to the box office. Use the entrance at Mesnagers St and N Spring St. For more information, and to obtain a pass, please contact the box office.
There will be parking attendants, guides and signage but if you are having trouble locating us please don’t hesitate to give a call! Our number is (213) 761-8598.
Consider using ride-share and public transit options! The rideshare drop-off is located at 1724 Baker St Los Angeles, CA 90012.
For public transit, use the Chinatown Station stop on the Gold Line. The stop is at the west end of the park, a 15-minute walk to the Box Office. You can find more information here.
Please note that there is no parking along Baker St. Help us respect our neighbors by not double parking or parking illegally.
Tickets
There is no need to download an app or create an account with ShowPass - your tickets are located in your confirmation email from ShowPass as a PDF attachment. You do not need to print or bring physical tickets to the park- we can check you in from your device or by name.
To check-in as a group, be sure that everyone in your party has arrived prior to getting in line. Each guest will need to receive a wristband before entering the performance.
If you can’t find your confirmation email (which happens sometimes) let us know and we can re-send it.
Two-Tracks
As you might know, Sweet Land is experienced in two tracks, Feast & Train. Each features a different story and offers a complete experience, often coming into contact with one another. If you haven’t already requested a specific track, the box office will sort you at the park. Groups and friends can stay together!
While on the journey, it's important that you stay on your track - as an opera that erases itself, the story unfolds as you make your way back the way you came.
Attire
The show will be approximately 85 minutes and you will be walking or on your feet for about half of the performance. You will cross different terrain which may be dusty, muddy and uneven, so please wear comfortable, closed-toed, flat shoes.
The opera brings you in direct contact with the land, and the park is the central character of the opera -- that means that the entire piece is an open-air outdoor performance. Please dress warmly as temperatures will drop during the length of the performance.
Food and Drink
The park will be closed during our performances, so no picnicking will be allowed. No food or drink will be allowed into the performance.
There are many restaurants and bars adjacent to the park. Highland Park Brewery, Nick’s Cafe, Angeleno Wine Co., Majordomo and Apotheke are located along Spring Street. Further South and West there are more options in Chinatown.
