February Workshops: Show and Tell
Sewing our own sewing kits in the Moss Park Market workshop February 9 2020
Hot hot heat! on the February 22 Warm Hands workshop, we made hand-warmers from sweaters and flannel, learned the difference between knits and weaves, and did burn tests to identify fabrics. Thanks to Works-in-Progress artist Marnie Saskin for sharing her textile knowledge. Check out the burn text chart on our website under "useful info"
Part of the Do it Together Series with Building Roots. Each workshop offers fun and creative ways to reduce waste by reusing and repairing textiles. You can read more about the workshops and what we learned at our website www.works-in-progress.ca
Thanks to the generosity of Building Roots and the Ontario Arts Council, all workshops are free but donations always welcome!
