On God’s Terms
Genesis 2:15 – 17, 3:1-7, Matthew 4:1-11

We are in Lent, 40 days (minus Sunday feast days) of preparing and repenting. Repenting, to change course, to repurpose our lives towards living On God’s Terms. During time with disciples, anyone who wishes to have a fish bank will be given one by the children. One Great Hour of Sharing is comprised of three prongs: Self Development of People, Presbyterian Hunger Programs and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. We will receive these banks again on Palm Sunday.

Voting is beginning in our Fellowship Hall on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. This is a neighborhood offering for this country. The work that goes into voting is monumental. Come and vote Sunday, drop in your ballet or just see what the electronic voting booths look like.

Women’s History Month begins this Sunday. Ann and I will choose hymns written or composed or both by women all this month. We will sing some which are familiar and some which are new. As we sing, may we come to have a deeper sense of our unity in the body of Christ. May new songs bring surprises and breathe new life into our church.

In the Genesis passage, we are given our vocation: to till and keep Eden. That is our charge and we will consider how to work with God in caring for creation.

for worship and a Purim Celebration in the fellowship hall! There will be mask making, cookie baking, delicious Mediterranean food, and a COSTUME CONTEST!
