March 2020 at Koreshan State Park 

We are in the midst of our "high season" and activities abound! March is Women's History Month, and the park is offering special tours with guides and re-enactors in period costumes, as well as evening events. Also in March, the park is hosting its 33rd Annual Antique Engine, Quilt and Craft Show March 14 and 15.  Koreshan Baking continues every Sunday at the Cast Iron Cafe, as well as Guided Historic Tours, Nature Programs, Sunday Farmers Market and Native Plant Sale and so much more - for all ages!

3rd Annual Women's History Month

Join us for special public tours, experience historical re-enactments with Settlement women, and attend evening discussions about the Koreshans.

Celebrate Florida Gopher Tortoise Day, April 10, 2020
Learn gopher tortoise behaviors, anatomy and fun facts–and hold and see the shells of specimens that lived in Koreshan State Park!

**Space limited! Programs are free with park entry fee ($5 per vehicle with 2-8 occupants, $4 per single-occupant vehicle, and $2 for pedestrians and bicyclists) but reservations are either required or requested.

Women’s Suffrage and the Koreshan Unity

Beginning in the 1880s, the Koreshan Unity Settlement, with its fundamental beliefs in equity between men and women, took up the banner of woman’s suffrage with numerous newspaper articles, public speaking events and theatrical performances addressing the topic of equity for women. [read more]
