Leaping and Springing Forward into March!

We end the month of February with an extra day this Leap Year. The energy of Spring is in the air and March is bursting with movement and new opportunities for blooming, blossoming and growth! Daylight Saving Time returns, so remember to “Spring Forward” and set your clocks ahead one hour on March 8!

The Church of the Comforter celebrates the month of March and Spiritualism as we joyously welcome back our beloved friend and mentor, International Medium, Tutor and President of the ISF, Robin Hodson. Robin will present a variety of workshops and events starting March 13 through March 16. He will serve as our speaker and Message medium on Sunday, March 15, followed by “Conversation with Spirit Trance Dem” after the service and potluck. This month we are delighted to welcome two new speakers. Dani Antman, author of “Wired For God” and internationally known energy healer will speak on Sunday, March 1, and on Sunday, March 29, Medium, Jennifer Rose will serve as speaker and Message medium.

Spiritualists observe the 4th Sunday of March as Gratitude Day, in honor of the founding of Modern Spiritualism (the advent of Modern Spiritualism on March 31, 1848) and of the workers who have devoted their lives to the Cause of Spiritualism. On Sunday, March 8 and Sunday, March 22, our congregants will serve as the speakers as they share their individual thoughts on why they have chosen to be Spiritualists.

Although we designate the 4th Sunday of March each year as Gratitude Day, may we be grateful today and everyday. May we reflect on the words of a benediction written by our dear late Pastor, The Rev. Judy Campbell-Clark: “ Today we acknowledge the many blessings in our lives and we offer our gratitude to those who love and watch over us, in both the seen and unseen world. May we move forward united by a common love and appreciation for all manifestations of Infinite Intelligence, in nature and in spirit. May we light our lives, and those of others, by the divine spark from within. And with that light, may we see the blessings as they come our way.”
