Math-a-Thon Results

A big Thank You to all of your hard work in soliciting Math-a-Thon donations from friends and family.  Our final numbers are in, and we totalled more than $11k!  In addition to paying for music, we are putting away a reserve for future replacement of our iPads and Chromebooks.

A shout-out to the top fund raiser from each class:  Kayden (Mrs. Wheelock), Emmett (Mrs. Wong), Violet (Mrs Goodwin), Dylan (Mrs Baba), Michael (Mrs. Dorsey), Dillon "Big D" (Ms. Arsalan), Camila (Mrs. Ekmekji), Ryan (Mrs. Harmon), and Gagik (Mrs. Elston)

Don't forget that each student who solicited donations received a coupon for a FREE Kona Ice, who will be back on campus starting this coming week. 

Clippers Science Festival - Friday March 6 (Free)

A parent (Thank you Pam!) brought this to my attention. This coming Friday, the LA Clippers will be hosting a FREE science festival (Clippers SciFest 2020) at the downtown LA Convention Center.  It will be open from 9 AM - 8 PM.

Promethean Boards in Action

Kester has been procuring Promethean Boards for the classrooms.  If you haven't seen them, think of an iPad on steroids that replaces the traditional white board.

Mrs Goodwin and Mrs Wong found a version of the classic math game "Set" online, and this allows the entire class to participate simultaneously in a mind expanding exercise.
