The Faust Branch of
The Anthroposophical Society in America

 
This local branch of the national Society has been serving the greater Sacramento area for over forty years. Applications for membership in the General Anthroposophical Society and in the Faust Branch may be obtained by emailing faustbranch@gmail.com, by speaking to any member of the Faust Branch coordinating committee, or at
Member’s dues are $45, payable in September. Supporting Member dues are $85 and entitle one to free admission to lectures. Donor dues are $130 and entitle one to free admission to lectures and special events. All attendees are expected to pay for Special Events (fees vary), excepting Donors. Dues and contributions help pay for mailing and printing costs, facility expenses, honoraria for lecturers and artists, as well as festival celebrations. Donations beyond the membership fees are gratefully received to support the programs and activities that benefit the entire community. Those with special financial circumstances are encouraged to speak with a member of the coordinating committee. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Dennis Klocek - M.F.A. Coros Institute, Consciousness Study Director, Author, International Lecturer.

Penelope Baring- Active in the Camphill Movement since 1970 in the U.S., India and Europe; Vice President of the Camphill Academy, former member of the Collegium of the School of Spiritual Science in America.

Harald Hoven- Master Gardener, founder of the Biodynamic Association of Northern California, regional and international speaker and teacher on Biodynamic farming and gardening.

Bruce Donehower- Ph.D., Retired Professor UCD, Collegium of the Section for Literary Arts and Humanities, poet, novelist, and musician. His writings include The Birth of Novalis.

Rev. Sanford Miller- Priest, The Christian Community of Sacramento.

Charles Burkam - Charles has held leadership roles at Michael Hall Steiner School, Emerson College, Tablehurst Community Farm, a Biodynamic smallholding in the White Mountains of AZ and then Public Waldorf Education based in Phoenix.  

Jannebeth Roell - BFA, RN - has dedicated her life to medical work based on the principles of Rudolf Steiner.  She co- founded and worked for more than 15 years at the Anthroposophical Tobias Center in the Netherlands. She took classes on the First Goetheanum with Margaretha Hauschka as part of understanding the human being in Anthroposophical medicine. Jannebeth’s interest in color and colored light awakened a special interest in the windows of the Goetheanum.

Statement of Purpose
 
The Anthroposophical Society: Sacramento Faust Branch is an organization formed by members of the Anthroposophical Society in the greater Sacramento area to provide opportunities for members and friends to gather together to share in studies, lectures, festivals, and other Anthroposophically oriented activities to foster our mutual understanding and appreciation of the work of Rudolf Steiner and Anthroposophy and its related initiatives.
