Tathra Carnival Coming Up

Save the dates in your diary and why not book a getaway by staying the whole weekend at beautiful Tathra. Senior carnival on Saturday 28 March and the Juniors on Sunday 29th March.

Join in the fun and come along whether you are a competitor or not. Support the surf life saving community for a big finale to a tough season on our coastline. A Saturday night social function is being organised by the Tathra Surf Life Saving Club for all those who are making a weekend of it.

Competitors: Junior members are Under 8 to Under 14s who are registered and proficient. Senior members are registered, proficient bronze or SRC members. You don't need to be a Nutri Grain champion, come along, get involved and enjoy the fun.

We are always looking for people to help transport trailers and tents. Note: cars towing SLS trailers need to be comprehensively insured. Please contact Carla Durnan or Glenn Bywater if you can help. Also, any Bronze or SRC members that are willing and able to assist with water safety, please bring your wetsuit & orange rashie along and make yourself known at the briefing prior to the Nipper carnival - thank you, we cannot hold a carnival without you.

The board trailer needs a little love before we take it on the road to Tathra, needs new padding and strapping sorted out.

Just a reminder

Over the last couple of weeks we have had a few cases of children not getting properly signed off after Nippers. Thankfully there was no need for alarm, but it does cause worry and a bit of detective work for the age manager, the Nippers Coordinator and the Patrol Captain!

Please remind your children that they must advise their age manager of any time they are leaving the group, whether it to visit the bathroom, a parent, get a towel etc

Also, parents and carers please make sure you are available for the duration of Nippers. In case of an injury or emergency, the age managers or patrol captain may need you at short notice. Further to this, we cannot release the children after Nippers until we see you collect them.
