Coronavirus: MIDEM and MIPIM to share dates!
Sorry to bother you again with coronavirus info. I just read that the MIPIM and Midem trade fairs are going to take place simultaneously, June 2-5. Obviously, this is an extreme measure in extreme times.
But it has huge significance if you are attending either event and have not yet booked accommodation!
I wrote this piece already a while back, but it's still valid. Where to stay in Cannes. I recommend heading straight to the out-of-town locations such as Juan-les-Pins or Cannes -La Bocca. They are just 5/10 mins by train from Cannes.
The page contains affiliate links. Obviously, you don't need me to find the Carlton. But the other hotels in the map could come in useful.
This decision is an official one, not MIPIM's (or Midem's). For the moment, the Film Festival is still maintaining its dates.
