Happy New Year!
It has been a couple of months since I have sent out a newsletter, so lets catch up.
The winter is almost over, and if you listen to the groundhog,
spring will be here before we know it - hope I didn't just jinx it!
Some changes have happened since we met last:
My products are no longer available at the Locally Handmade store at the Mall.
It is a GREAT store - but was not a good fit for me.
I have since officially launched my Etsy shop,
which can be accessed by clicking on the Etsy button above.
Select products are available and more will be added over time. So if you can't make it to one of my art show or need the perfect gift now - shop my shop!

In the February Issue of Colored Pencil Magazine, the publisher ask the question "What made you fall in love with colored pencils" - My answer made the issue, along with my artwork 'Fleur de lys Rouges Calla'!
Here's what my answer was:
I retired from the printing industry and turned my sights to my first love - being an artist. Having never been formally trained in this facet of the arts, I took classes and workshops in several different mediums; watercolor, acrylic, and sculpting - always searching for my niche. I found it, not in an art class but in the bottom drawer of my desk/ Staring at me was a set of colored pencils I got when I was young and thought "Why not?"
In those pencils, I found what I was missing. I like to call it "The Zone." I'm sure you have experienced a version of it with something you are passionate about - the world around you melts away, you are in tune with your art, your reference materials are no longer needed, and the creativity flows from your brain to your hand to the paper. My love of colored pencils was born right then and there.
