Happy St. Patrick's Day

March 2020 Newsletter
They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.I had often wondered where something so true came from. Here is a good article about it. https://www.theparisreview.org/blog/2015/03/02/folk-wisdom/ I kind of like the weather version myself.

As far as events go, it is a very busy month with plenty of events and to choose from. There are luncheons, mini conventions along with the normal shows happening this month going forward all the way into summer.

New on the
LInks page of the site. I have every facebook page that I could find listed for liking/following/ sharing. If you are a facebook person, please go in and like the pages. This helps enormously with networking and getting the word out about our events. If you have a facebook page already set up for your club or event and have paid for a deluxe listing, you qualify for 1 year free social media help. My goal is to get each up to at least 100 likes/follows, if not more.

Bottomline, together we will thrive.

The ancient archaeological sites such as The Acropolis and Delphi are truly inspirational, the landscape more varied and beautiful than I imagined, the people warm and friendly and the food some of the best I’ve enjoyed anywhere in the world!  Continue…

150 Years Later...
Posted January 2, 2020 in Dolls

A century and a half after their creation, Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women continue to delight readers and doll collectors. Ruth Gibbs, Inc. debuted their 7″ china Little Women dolls in 1951. Photo courtesy of the proprietor of the Ruby Lane shop Oldeclectics.

Little did Louisa May Alcott know when she wrote Little Women that it would become a treasured piece of juvenile literature. The book would lead to over 20 various movie and television adaptations and would inspire many doll makers to create dolls in the likenesses of the story’s characters. <Continue>
