Everyday Champions: Man Talk

ACTIVITY

Saturday 14 March, 6:00 pm (monthly event)
Man Talk is a social activity for men, young and old, to get together for a (responsible) drink or two, make some new mates, and have the chance to talk about what it means to be a bloke these days. We plan to get together once a month and it's free of charge. Just buy yourself a drink and maybe shout another bloke a drink. The Dock, at Kinston Foreshore, has some great food as well if you want to get something to eat. We're happy for you to just turn up on the night, but it's a busy pub so it might be best if you let us know a few days in advance so we can book a table. While we welcome all blokes, we'd especially love to see some guys who are on the Autism spectrum come along.

Groupwork Solutions: Young People and Groupwork

WORKSHOP

Thursday 16 April and Friday 17 April, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
Young people are super-physical, super-influenced by their emotions, and respond super-impulsively to what’s going on around them. So with all this in mind, this workshop will take you through a process that looks at how to harness all this for the good of a group. We will look at the skills, ways of thinking and practical strategies needed to run/facilitate groups with teenagers who at times can be challenging and difficult. We will look at the pivotal idea of Engagement and how to maintain that engagement over time.

At Tuggeranong Community Centre, 245 Cowlishaw St, Greenway. The early bird booking is $550.00 registration occurs before 16th March 2020 (GST included). The fee for registrations after the 16th March is $660.00 (GST included). Morning tea and lunch are provided. Register and complete payment. A Tax Invoice will be emailed to you.
