Buluşma Noktası 2019 Update # 2 - Objectives and Values

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Our hearts are full of thanksgiving at all that God did at Buluşma Noktası 2019, especially for the new relationships that have started to develop between Global Church leaders and the Church in Turkey and the deepening/maturing of many existing relationships.

We are very aware that those people who met together near Ephesus represent just the ‘tip of the iceberg’; many, many more in Turkey and around the world were with us in prayer and support. Together we make up this beautiful spiritual movement that we refer to as Buluşma Noktası.

Our next BN2019 update will include a link to the audio file of the opening address from the Church in Turkey to the full BN2019 (ie the first session that included all the registrants from the Church in Turkey, the Foreign Worker community and the Global Church.)

In the meantime, we wish to remind you of the Objectives and Values of BN2019. These were developed over a 6-month period of prayer and discernment by the BN2019 Oversight Team which is comprised of senior pastors in the Church in Turkey, and leaders from within the Foreign Worker community and the International Turkey Network.

In line with the Objectives and Values, BN2019 registrants were encouraged NOT to rush into actions whilst at BN2019 (eg establishing new partnerships), but rather, to use the time together as an opportunity to hear the Church in Turkey and to begin to process at a heart-level what the Church leaders were saying and what God was saying to us all. Four important steps were identified:

Awareness – Encountering the Church in Turkey
Acceptance – Meeting of Hearts

After BN2019

Response – Preparing for Action
Sustain – Taking Actions

Experience has shown that allowing God to lead us through these four steps usually results in more enduring and successful partnerships.

Seasoned leaders from all three communities present strongly counselled registrants NOT to rush straight from Step 1 to Step 4.

PRAYER POINT
Please join with us this week in praying that God will protect, speak to and encourage those BN2019 registrants who are currently stepping from Step 2 – Acceptance to Step 3 – Response.
